This Privacy Policy describes how the TNSKILL Inspection App ("the App", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when used by field inspection officers as part of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) / Naan Mudhalvan skill development programme. The App is an internal tool used by authorised government field officers to record and submit inspection data; it is not intended for use by the general public.

1. Who We Are

The App is developed and operated on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC), Government of Tamil Nadu, for use by its authorised inspection officers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & Profile Information

Login credentials used to authenticate the officer's session
Name, phone number, and email address associated with the officer's profile

2.2 Location Data

Precise GPS location is collected while an inspection is in progress, in order to verify the officer's presence at the inspection site (geo-fencing) and to geo-tag photographs captured during the inspection
Location is only accessed during active use of the inspection workflow, not in the background at all times

2.3 Camera & Photos

Photographs (including selfies for identity/attendance verification) taken during an inspection
Captured images are stamped with GPS coordinates and a timestamp before being stored or submitted

2.4 Inspection & Form Data

Responses entered by the officer as part of the inspection form (yes/no answers, ratings, text, numbers)
Where the inspection covers a training branch or centre, related records such as student enrollment details and student feedback may be entered by the officer as part of the official inspection record. This data is provided by the officer in an official capacity, not collected directly from students by the App

2.5 Device, Diagnostic & Notification Data

Basic device and crash diagnostic information via Firebase Crashlytics, used only to identify and fix app errors
A push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to deliver assignment-related notifications

3. How We Use Information

To authenticate officers and maintain their session
To verify that an inspection was conducted at the correct location and time
To record and submit official inspection findings to TNSDC systems
To send assignment and status notifications to the officer
To diagnose and fix technical issues in the App

We do not use collected data for advertising, and we do not sell any data to third parties.

4. Offline Storage & Data Security

The App is designed to work offline. Inspection data, drafts, and photos may be temporarily stored on the officer's device and automatically synced to TNSDC servers once an internet connection is available
Sensitive fields are encrypted before transmission to our servers
Access to submitted inspection data is restricted to authorised TNSDC personnel and systems

5. Data Sharing

Information collected through the App is shared only with TNSDC and its authorised government systems for the purpose of administering the skill development inspection programme. We do not share data with advertising networks or unrelated third parties.

6. Data Retention

Inspection records are retained for as long as required for TNSDC's administrative, audit, and compliance purposes. Locally cached data on a device is cleared once successfully synced, or when the App is uninstalled.

7. Your Rights

Officers may update their profile phone number and email directly within the App. To request correction or deletion of other personal data associated with your account, please contact us using the details below.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended solely for use by authorised adult government officers and is not directed at children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
